Tinfish George is the stage name of an Australian folk/blues musician who has toured extensively and has taught finger-style (Piedmont) blues at our Khlong Toey Music Program. He has become one of our team through his continued involvement. The songs he has donated here come from his CD Try Before You Die.

Blues Stay Away From Me. Written in 1949 by Alton Delmore and recorded by him and his brother, Rabon - The Delmore Brothers. The song is a classic in the American song catalogue and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2007 and when first released reached number one in Billboard’s Country and Western chart. This blues version departs from the mood of the original recording which a more country and western feel.
