Tinfish George is the stage name of an Australian folk/blues musician who has toured extensively and has taught finger-style (Piedmont) blues at our Khlong Toey Music Program. He has become one of our team through his continued involvement. The songs he has donated here come from his CD Try Before You Die.

Way Over Yonder In The Minor Key. The lyrics were written by Woody Guthrie and were discovered by his daughter, Nora, after his death. She asked Billy Bragg to set it to music. Although Guthrie is noted for his political songs, his talent extended beyond that. And Billy Bragg, also noted for his politics, did a fine job with this playful song.
